First off, Hello to everyone and thanks to anyone who replys. So, I had unprotected s_x with my boyfriend.. it was after my period I would say 3 or 4 days after. Then I get a call from my friend (this is no joke) and her mom is a psychic... She said she predicted me getting pregnant and that I am going to have a baby. So I have become extremely paranoid, it's been about 4 weeks since then and I have had no symptoms of any sort. I am also expecting my period very soon, within the next week or so, so I can't really say I have missed it. Also, just 2 days ago I took a home pregnancy test (First Responce), and it tested Negative. Can anyone recommend a good home pregnancy test? There is always that possiblilty that I am pregnant. But it's hard for me to figure out what to do, I would love to go on the pill but asking my father would surly be suicide and my mother died 3 years ago so I really have no one to go too. I have a good boyfriend and I am sure you have heard that before, but I mean it. Anyway, thanks for your time and I look foward to your advice.

Four days after ending your period is in your fertile window if you have a 28 day cycle. You seem to have a 40 day cycle, so ovulation is likely to occur day 26, and sperm from day 10 would not last that long. Take a test Christmas Day first pee if you are still worried. Meanwhile tell your boyfriend that he is not even to think about s_x unless he provides and uses condoms, and you need to get some v____al spermicide to slip in beforehand. Figure out what day it is you ovulate and stay away from s_x 6 days before and a couple of days after. http://www.ppowb.org/gv/

Why don't you tell your dad that you're having some problems with your period and you need to go to the gynocologist? Then, while you are there, ask the doctor to prescribe the pill. I did that when I was 16. I told my mom the doctor prescribed the pill to regulate my periods. If you do get on the pill, you should still use condoms. Don't rely on v____al spermicide alone, always use a condom too. Oh, maybe your friend was worried about you having s_x, so she called and said her mom was predicting you'd get pregnant...that way you'd be careful.

Thanks, JBear. My post did not make it clear that I suggest using spermicide as a back-up for condom mishaps.

hi - December 15

Just so you know, condoms and spermicide are over the counter and many big stores like Wal Mart have self checkouts these days, so no one need know what you are buying.

First Response is as good a test as any. Clearblue Easy is also good. I think it if came out negative, then you shouldn't worry. But take another one as soon as you are late for your period. The first response test may not have detected any pregnancy hormes just yet (if you actually are pregnant). Just wait it out for a little longer and then re-test. As far as taking the pill, I am sure you can find a Planned Parenthood where you live and get birth control pills without his consent.

Sometimes spermicide can cause v____al irritation, making you more prone to infections. I've read that the best place to put spermicide is inside the tip of the condom, that way it doesn't irritate your v____a, and it also ends up right where it is most needed. I used to use VCF when I was first married, but I was always so sore afterwards that we gave up and switched to condoms. (VCF is a little square of clear stuff that you fold and stick inside. It dissolves and makes a layer of spermicide.)

Thank you all so much. It's good to know there are people I can talk too about this.
