Do you ever have any babies adopted from hospital that mothers abandon?

MOMMA2 - March 24

YES, MOST STATES WILL LET YOU LEAVE A BABY W/ OUT PENALTIES. SO THE BABY CAN BE SAFE

I just wondered how you like your job. I am planning on going to school to be a LPN in the labor and delivery unit. Ive heard some people say that they couldnt deal with the job b/c of seeing the babies going home to bad homes with parents that they could tell shouldnt have kids, or the drug addicts. And what about still births. How do you deal. It seems there is alot of great things to choosing this career path and some not so great things. what are you experiences with this? thanks so much!!!

FOR THE MOST PART IT IS REWARDING. MOST OF THE TIME THE FAMILIES ARE HAPPY WHEN THE BABIES ARRIVE EVEN IF THEY WERE NOT PLANNED. BUT AS YOU MENTIONED IT CAN BE VERY TOUGH. I GUESS IT IS THAT WAY WITH ANY NURSING JOB. DEATH CAN ALWAYS BE APART OF YOUR JOB ANYTIME YOU ARE WORKING IN HEALTHCARE. A LOT OF THE PATIENTS SITUATIONS DEPEND ON THE KIND OF FACILITY YOU WORK @. OUR HOSPITAL IS MOSTLY MEDICAID-LOW INCOME. WE SEE A LOT OF WHAT YOU MENTIONED. YOU JUST HAVE TO TRY AND HELP AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. I WAS WONDERING WHY YOU WERE PLANNING ON BEING A LPN VS. RN. ? HERE THE LPNS DO THE SAME EXACT WORK AS RNS BUT GET PAID LOTS LESS. IF SCHOOL IS THE ISSUE, A LOT OF PLACES OFER A 2 YEAR ASSOCIATES RN. THE RN WITH AN ASSOCOATES GET PAID THE SAME AS RN W/ BAS. JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.

I wanted to become an RN in L&D and I was wondering if you could tell me what a normal day of work would be like? Also, in training to become an RN in L&D...do I have to work anywhere else in the hospital? I think i could only work there because it's the least depressing place in the hospital. Another thing..sorry so many...but I will be graduating in june (I'm 16) and will be having my baby in August..Is there a certain age you have to be to even start college? and i heard there are grants to pay for college for teen mamas...is that true??

BRIT- YOUR DAY WOULD VERY A LOT SOME DAYS WE HAVE 12-15 BABIES SOME DAYS WE ONLY HAVE 1. IT ALSO DEPENDS ON THE HOSPITAL WHERE YOU WORK AND THE TYPES OF PATIENTS YOU SEE. IT IS REALLY HARD TO DESCRIBE A "TYPICAL" DAY BECAUSE EVERY LABOR IS DIFFRENT. HOWEVER I THINK I CAN BE SAFE IN SAYING THAT IT IS REWARDING EXCITING WORK FOR THE MOST PART. NURSES HERE DON'T HAVE TO GO TO OTHER PARTS OF THE HOSPITAL, OTHER PLACES I DON'T KNOW. PELL GRANTS CAN HELP ANYONE PAY FOR COLLEGE. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN THAT RAISES YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING FINANCIAL AID. SINCE YOU ARE STILL A MINOR YOU WOULD HAVE TO SEE HOW THAT WORKS IN YOUR STATE.

my plan was to ladder up in the nurseing field, and the lpn program here is only 1 yr. and its cheaper to do it that way rather than going to get an AA degree. But i am still looking at my possibilities, and i might have another little one on the way, so that will have alot of impact on what happens. thanks for your response!

TO DANDY I DEF WAS NOT TRYING TO DISCOURAGE YOU. ANY LPN WOULD BE GREAT. I WAS JUST CURIOUS. YOU CAN ALWAYS DO MORE LATTER. BEST OF LUCK

MOMMA2 - March 28

YES YOU CAN

SALLY - April 1

if you have s_x with 2 people on the same day how do you know which one is the dad?

Kay - April 2

Sally: you would have to get a DNA test after the baby is born , that will be able to tell who the father is.
