Birth Control Options

What exactly are all the options of birth control? I am 33 weeks pregnant, and am trying to decide what to do after I have the baby for birth control. I dont want another baby for at least 3 years, and dont want any surprises if at all possible!! We were using condoms and they were effective for us for 2 years, but I just dont feel that they are strong enough on their own. I have a lot of fears and concerns about the pill and patch after hearing horror stories about blood clots and such. I have never been able to even use a tampon, so I dont think I could use diapragms or anything like that. Are there other options out there that I am not aware of? TIA!

Hey Ca__s, it's Brittany. I'm also thinking about what to do after my second baby is born. I wasn't good with pills (thats how I had my first) and I'd never try the patch. I did try Nuva Ring and thats what kept me from not being pregnant for awhile but you probably wouldn't like it. I've heard a lot of stories about the IUD, people getting pregnant on it or it causing infertility or causing your hormones to go crazy. I just don't know. That might be one of my options for the next few years. Condoms seem to be the best and easiest thing...but I don't like them lol. I guess you should talk to your doctor. Will you be b___stfeeding? Because if you are, you don't have many options when it comes to birth control because the hormones pa__s through the milk and whatnot. I def. have to talk to my doctor about all the options...two kids by age 20 haha. I also don't want anymore surprises for the next three years. Good luck!!
