i have been thinking about a baby ever since i had a pregnancy scare 5 weeks ago. i sit at school all day dreaming about it. even the "bad" things like a screaming baby and no sleep dont worry me at all.. i was sitting in class today upset about my negative pregnancy test result and just thought.. if i want one so bad, why dont i have one?? i have already finished my compulsory schooling and was offered a traineeship as a receptionist. i know that my family will support me, not that i want them too as i am going to get that job and work my ass off for what i want. my boyfriend also wants a baby, although he is scared about what my father will do to him.. i dont care anymore that im only 16, im going to go out there and get what i want. everyday my life is wasting away while i do things i dont even want to do just to make everybody else happy. but no more. i am now going to do what i want to do with my life. even if it is damn hard to do, i feel like a challenge. this is what i want my life to be.

Well you should be TOTALLY positive about your decision. Theres really no going back other than abortion, and trust me, that will destroy you. Second, you can't just pick up any guy off the street and have s_x with him unprotected. You have to be totally sure you love this person. I don't beleive in love at first site. You have to know a person to love them. Just because you have a boyfriend for 3 months, dosn't mean you love him. Make sure you are with the right person. Also, make sure both of you have the time, energy, and money for this. I'm 16 and I might be a father soon. I am a highschool dropout, but I am determined to raise this kid if she is pregnant. I took my ged last week and I am going to college. If you do get accepted and take that training, you also have to think about the kid. You have to have someone to take care of him. If you think you are up to this then i say go for it, but think long and hard about what you are going to do for the rest of you life.

If you have a baby you wont have time to 'work your a__s off' and 'get that job'. If you have a baby YOU should be the one looking after it, not pa__sing it round different people to look after. When you know your stable enough not to have to work more than a few hours a week I think thats the right time for kids.

Wow, you really sound determined. After 3 kids and 1 on the way, I can definetely tell you that having kids isn't as "fun" as you think.

you have no frigging clue what you are info. Don't kid yourself dear. I agree with ?, you think its so easy to work, be a mom, and get a secondary education? live ONE day of my life and tell me how easy it is.You need a huge reality check. Also, the chances that you are going to meet the person you spend the rest of your life with at 16-slim. First of all, why don't you stop depending on your parents before bring a life into the world that is going to depend 100% on you. Get your own house, car, how about a health plan even??? Did you ever actually calculate how expensive a baby is??? 30$ a week-formula (this is before baby foods even) 25$ a week-diapers daycare.. ohh about 500$ a week. and then they need bath stuff, medical expenses, clothes, furniture. and if your boyfriend still has to fear your father, that should tell you right there you are NOT ready.

Allie- I don't believe you are ready for a baby. You've only just finished school and have a traineeship lined up. If you decide to get pregnant now that won't make a good impression on your boss. Plus if your bf is over 18, he could get arrested for having s_x with you (depends on which state- some have the legal age as 16 others at 18). I'd wait a few years until you are working at a stable job before committing to having a child. Best wishes.

Just a comment - March 4

You are a selfish spoiled brat that should be locked away to finish what is for your best interest. I feel bad for the child you desire to create.

To the person who made the last comment, This is a support form, not something used to bash people for what they think. Grow up!

KM - March 4

She doesn't deserve to be supported in a decision like that. What kind of life is that poor child going to have.

LiAnNe - March 4

TO KM...... you are a nasty lil b___h, and im sorry but it had to be said. you said something nasty and uncalled for in my post. do you have nothing better to do than sit around and make childish comments. GROW UP AND F**K OFF!!! and leave people alone
