Heartburn Heartburn Heartburn

I've been having the worst heartburn ever. It started about a week ago and I'm about 8 or 9 weeks pregnant. All I have is Tums here and I have no money to buy something else but they don't work. Is there any sort of home remedy that could help me?

I'm not sure but drinking plenty of milk and water will help, try staying away from fruit juices and acidy things. Pastry is one of the worst things too so try to stay away from that. Milk of magnesia is usually good, but ask your doctor before you take anything as it could be dangerous when you are pregnant.

Dani, Tums is one of the only safe remedies for heartburn, unless you consult with your doctor about a prescription. Sorry to say but you will have to ride it out like the rest of us. I do not think there is a home remedy that helps with hb, while pregnant. It lingers no matter what you eat. Part of the joys....

try to eat crakers, or bread to calm down a bit and from now on stay way from anything acidic - ie: orange juice.
