Holly-Jo- At 14 your body is still developing so if you intend to carry the pregnancy to term you should see a doctor asap. Here are a few pointers. 1) Start taking pre-natal vitamins containing folic acid (you can get them over the counter in a pharmacy) and you'll need to be careful with your diet. 2) Avoid any processed meats like deli meats and bacon because they have preservatives in them that are harmful to the baby. Look at the label for "sodium nitrite". 3) Make sure any meat that you eat is well cooked, especially chicken. 4) Switch from soft drinks to water or fruit juice. 5) Be prepared to run to the bathroom more often. Best wishes!

good advice Audrey. Also, for most teens public health should provide you with a nutirtonist to follow you through your pregnancy to make sure you and the baby are getting what you need. they can also tell you what ressources are availabe for you.
