I found out I was pregnant yesterday when my period was due, i'm having cramping and sore br___ts, but my period has never EVER been past 35 days...and, now i'm a day late...so..I thought about it, and I'm going to get prenatal vitamins and every thing, but I don't know what to do...I thought about not telling my mom or dad until i started showing, but i do have a counselor that treats me for bipolar, that i thought of telling so she could bring me to the doctors....but, I'm scared she'd force me into telling my mom, and I really don't want to do that...my friends mom offered to take me, but im scared that i'd need my parents to be there...What should i do? I took two digital pregnancy tests that both came up positive almost instantly....

It seems as though you have quite a challenge on your hands. It would probably be easier telling your mum sooner rather than later about your pregnancy. I think suffering from bi polar is enough stress for you at this time. The only medication you can take during pregnancy it lithium.(they are the prefered meds) I hope you manage to cope ok during your pregnancy, as your hormones start to really set in, your mood will change often. I am sure your mum would probably prefer it if you told her earlier rather than later, that way she will be in a position to support you emotionally. All the best

I wouldn't place too much faith in those threats. They were a thoughtless means of trying to make you behave. Your parents love you more than you know. They are going to have to bear most of the financial burden of this addition to the family, and some of the child-care burden. It's only fair that you clue them in soonest. See http://www.ppowb.org/gv/tell.htm and good luck!
