i was on the contraceptive jag for 2 and 1/2 years then i got regular periods again after 6 months but then i decided to go back on the pill. I'm living with my boyfriend (20) who has a healthy pay and steady job. i hav a year left of college before im qualified. I'm want to get pregnant within the next few months although we are starting young, it feels like the right time-----but----- im worried that it is going to take longer than that- we are having s_x every day so i dont know if that helps the chanceof concieving quicker? i only stopped taking the pill on my last period which finished after its normal week-on monday. PLEASE HELP.

K- Your cycles can get messed up after stopping the pill. It's usually better to wait until you get a natural period to give your body the chance to "reset" itself. S_x every day isn't necessary, your man needs a rest to produce fresh sperm, so every two to three days is fine. Relax and best of luck!

K- The chance of becoming pregnant in any particular cycle is 25%. It helps also if you know how long your cycles are, but it's hard to do that if you've just come off the pill. In a normal cycle you count from Day 1 on the first day of your period. You ovulate around Day 14 and you're considered fertile during days 9-16. Having s_x at least twice during that time raises the chances of pregnancy. Good luck!
