well, i got lucky. i didnt find out i was pregnant until way late on, and i was still taking my bc. but taking bc during pregnancy can cause miscarriages and birth defects.. if you arent sure, stop having s_x, or use a different form of bc, (condom, female condom, diaphram, etc.) until you can take a test and be positive.

See i have not hear that and im not really sure bc would cause a miscarriage, this is because the hormones in bc "trick" your body into believing it is pregnant so that you do not release an egg. so concedering if your taking hormones that tell your body your pregnant, and you are also pregnant i dont see how it would cause a miscarage. I got pregnant on the pill, i missed one period and i had my yearly physical and asked my doctor about it if i should test or not. She told me that its normal to miss one period on the pill but if i miss another one to test asap. Now if the risk of me having a miscarage or birth defects were high i imagine my doctor would have said omg we need to test you right now you could be harming the baby by still taking your bc. Im 18 weeks pregnant right now and everything is going great, if your worried about being pregnant i would take a test, if you are pregnant then you should stop taking your pills and see a doctor about prenatal care.

THIS WAS ON THE WEB: What happens if you take birth control pills while you're pregnant? If you continued taking your birth control pill because you didn't realize you were pregnant, don't be alarmed. Despite years of this accident happening, there's very little evidence that exposure to the hormones in birth control pills causes birth defects. Still, the birth control pill is a potent estrogen. Lessons learned from women who took diethylstilbestrol — a synthetic estrogen that was later linked with cancer — to prevent miscarriage in early pregnancy suggest that such exposure should be minimized. Once you learn that you're pregnant, stop taking the birth control pill.
