Lower Back Tattoo

I have heard so many rumors about not being able to get an epideral if you have a tattoo on your lower back. My tattoo goes almost all the way to my ass crack...would I still be able to get one. Also I have a tattoo on my stomach (close to my hip) and I was wondering how much it will stretch and if it will be ruined after birth.

You can get the epidural. I had the same concerns because I also have a tattoo on my lower back, I asked my doctor and she said theres no truth to that, and I ended up having a section, and I had an epidural and did just fine. The one on your back probably wont stretch noticeably. The one on your stomach im not sure because Ive never seen on after a pregnancy..im guessing it would probably stretch pretty significantly.

Not sure about the back, but my friend has a quite a large tattoo on her stomach and after 3 full term pregnancies it hasnt stretched a bit which amazed me! It seemed to just stretch naturally with her belly as it grew and never went out of shape, and it was normal after birth too. But I suppose it depends on what your skins like, if its normally firm.
