Have any of you teens out there given birth without medication (iee, epidural, demerol)? What was your experiences? I want to have a drug-free birth with my baby, and I'm curious as to what your experiences were.

If you don't have an answer for my question, why bother posting? I a__sume you have better things to do with your time, hmm? No?

That's good to hear. Well, I ask that you refrain from mocking me, unless you feel it in your soul necessary.

I do have a hard time believeing all of your story but I will bite my toung and be civil. There is nothing wrong with a medication-free birth.More power to you.I will say that labor goes faster when your body is relaxed. If you can do that through natural methods go for it.I wouldn't rule out drugs. You have no Ideal what your getting into to.I was lucky to have two short and sweet labors. One with and one I didn't have time for anything. Not the exact answer your looking for but I hope it helps.

Did you take any special cla__ses, like Lamaze, Bradley, or Hypnobirthing? I've read that these can be very useful in controlling labour pain.

No,There is nothing wrong with lamaze just don't get confused it controles pain not take it away.Thinking that is a common mistake of most people. Then when It comes time to have the baby they think it should be pain free.Good luck

THIS IS ALL GOOD THINKING WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN LABOUR BUT WHEN THE TIME COMES YOU'LL BE CRYING OUT FOR MEDS!! BELIEVE ME !!

If this is the same Carol that said she was 14... there probably isn't a hospital around that will allow you to even try an unmedicated birth at that young age. There are so many things that can go wrong with an immature body when trying to give birth that they prefer to have an epideral (sp?) in for emergencies. My midwife / birthing clinic won't allow anyone under 18 to even try to give birth at the clinic (it's outside of the hospital).
