I'm so scared that I won't be able to detect when I'm in labor. I'm due to have my baby may 28, but lately I've been feeling very crampy( as if I'm having a really bad period) for about two days now on and off. I've had braxton hicks contractions but these are way worse. Am I starting labor. I have pain that starts from left side ( it hurts so bad). My stomach gets really hard and it feels like I'm losing my breath. Am I starting to go into labor

Help- First thing to do is relax. Try to time those pains that you're having. If they are getting stronger or closer together, then you're probably going into labour. Best wishes for a healthy child!

Those are Braxton Hicks Contractions. They are just like the real ones except the time in between them does not diminish. For example, when you begin labor, you will feel like you have cramps, but then it will go away. Then maybe 10-30 minutes later, you'll have another. This will keep up CONTINUOSLY until the contractions, which will be pretty "uncomfortable" by this time, are about 5 minutes from start to start (I think that's when you head to the doctor.) You could get all the way to the hospital to be told "they're not real". Real contractions will produce a baby, the Braxton Hicks will just feel like it. Enjoy!!

Calm down. Your not in labor u will know either when your water breaks, or you feel your contraction becoming more intense and closer togather. and trust me when u start feeling that pain u will know that they r contactions.
