Can you ONLY get pregnant when you ovulate? How long does ovulation last? How can you tell when you're ovulating?

The best time to get pregnant is when you are ovulating. However, you can get pregnant at any time. It depends on how fertile you are. The usual signs of ovualtion are a creamy string like to egg yok like mucus. You may have pain in you ovarie area. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Not egg yolk but raw egg white that can be stretched an inch between finger and thumb. Ovulation is a momentary thing when the egg breaks loose from the follicle. You can get pregnant from s_x 5 days before and 1 day after ovulation. They say your fertile window is from Cydcle Day 8-16 of a 28 day period. Follow the Grandpa Viv link at http://www.ppowb.org for more.

The only time you can get pregnant is when you ovulate, that's when your body release's an egg. if you have a twenty eight day cycle than you should ovulate around the 14th day. But everygirl and her body is very very different

Avoiding s_x during the days you're ovulating is known as natural family planning. It doesn't always work, and you should not count on it for birth control unless you're in a situation where you'd be okay with getting pregnant (married, adult, etc...)
