If you have been taking your pills regularly and on time then you shouldn't be pregnant. Sometimes the pill can mess up your natural balance. I suggest you talk to your doctor about the bleeding if you're worried.

I wish people could be more clear when they want a question answered. Are you stating you have a period in the middle of this pill cycle or you had a period at the end of the last cycle and are half through the next pack?

Yes you can still be pregnant. The pill doesn't actually give you a proper period. It gives you a bleed which we call a period, due to the breakup of the hormones inside the pill in your body. Thats why you have that 7day stopping phase for in this time you will have a period. If you think you may be pregnant do a pregnancy test. Audrey - You can conceive while on the pill. A lot of the time its due to missing the pill or skipping doses but for a handful of people this doesn't apply. For the handful of people who take their pills correctly and still conceive its due to a breakthrough ovulation. If this happens the pill isn;t strong enough for that person or the right brand of birth control. I'm in this position myself. I've took the birth control pill 100% correctly, same time everyday but I've had 3 positive tests. So you can become pregnant while on the pill. :o)
