Sex Before 6 Weeks Postpartum

Hey girls... I was just wondering.. I know the doc says not to have s_x until after the six week check up, but I don't wanna wait that long! I had a c-section, and i'm still bleeding so of coarse I would use protection... it's been 2 weeks and I feel up to it and we'd be careful.. has anyone with a c-section had s_x before 6 weeks postpartum? If so...did anything bad happen?

hi lilmomma! i see you everywhere around the forums.. and since nobody has answered this, i'll try. oh, and CONGRATS on ur baby boy! i didn't have a c-section, but i did have s_x before 6 weeks postpartum.. in fact, i did A LOT of things before i was supposed to.. i went surfing the weekend after my son was born.. lol.. anyway, sorry.. kind of getting off topic here... i think you could try... just take it slow.. make ur man be GENTLE! lol.. and if it hurts too much i'm sure he'll understand why you have to stop. if you do try and it hurts too much, try wating until your bleeding has stopped... it should be a lot less painful. i hope i helped... at least a little! :)

really isnt a good idea...the 6 weeks is for u to heal and while you are still bleeding u can get an infection from having s_x...if you waited 2 months then u can wait another month

I started having s_x 2 weeks after I had my daughter. It hurt a little, but I had a v____al delivery About 3 weeks after I had my daughter it started to feel good again.

hey lilmomma..aka ashley right? i post in ur teen forum too..this is Jae :D i so understand how u feel...i know it must sound horrible but i dont think i can last much longer! i haven't had s_x in what feels like ages but really 2 and a half months!! lol but i've had st_tches and there's no way im gonna even risk openin them up...i'll just have to suffer for the next 5 weeks. im not sure about c-sections though, but if u feel up to it i say just be very very careful and use protection....good luck hunnie

kayla_shauntel_05 , that was a real risk you took. Its not about hurting you , the reason they say to refrain from s_x is for infections and healing process. I would follow the drs. advice whether its c-sec or v____al birth. EVerything has its reasons despite some thinking otherwise.

I did a little research for ya, the book that my dr. gave me said as long as your feeling up to it and your careful/gentle, then it's alright. I have never heard of anyone getting infections or hurting themselves while having s_x before the check-up. I had s_x two weeks after my son was born v____ally and again two weeks after my daughter was born v____ally. You had a c-section so the only thing you should worry about are your abdomen st_tches which are probably almost healed by now. Go ahead and have s_x, just use protection and be careful.

Thanks for everyones input!! And Brittany thank you for researching that for me! I tried and all I got was "Don't have s_x for atleast 6 weeks..." Just to let you guys know... I did it and I don't have an infection! (Of coarse I used protection and we were careful) I guess it just depends on the person! Brittany...I only have internal st_tches, I had staples that were removed 4 days after my c-section
