Should I Get Married For The Sake Of My Boyfriend

My boyfriend is from Jamaican and he is not straight in America. The only way that he can get his green card and working permit is if I commit ( marriage). I know that it will benefit him and alot of ways and maybe me also ( being that I won't have to worry about him being deported) but I plan to go to college and I'm afraid it might affect my grant or college loan. I want to get a really good medical plan for my unborn child and I'm afraid I might be denied of a cheaper health plan. What if I get married to him and he leaves me? I'm scared and my grandparents are totally against it but I can't raise a child on my own. He needs to work and help support his child, what should I do?

My best friends boyfriend is from Australia- they had a baby in 2003- he never got deported- he works full time- they never got married- don't get married if you aren't ready.

Getting married and having a child is not a ticket to a green card. Talk to an immigration counselor before you do anything. He can stay and help support his child until the migra catches up with him. I have a feeling your college plans are going to take longer to come to fruition than you suspect. Good luck!
