Tuesday i went to the doctor for my monthly check up and i found out i had a bacterial infection. My boyfriend and i were s_xually active before i found out.I was wondering two things. One, is there a possibility that he has it? and two, would it be ok to have s_x with condoms if he does have it? I know they dont protect against std's but it would be better then risking it without a condom.

Maybe i should have made it more clear.I HAD a bacterial infection.Im sleeping with ONE guy.Since then i have gotten rid of it and i dont want it back.It did NOT come from having s_x.Its just something you get from time to time and being pregnant. It is NOT an std. What i wanted to know was if there was a possibility that he could get it from s_x and if he could, would it be ok to have s_x with condoms.

So you are pregnant? I wasn't sure from your first post, you'll have better luck posting on the other topics, like the discomfort topic, or whichever trimester you're in. There are a lot of people who only seem to post in this topic, who will insult anyone who posts here. An answer for your question, maybe: If your partner is not circ_mcised, he is more likely to get your infection. He would probably notice symptoms if he had it, like redness or itching. You should ask your doctor if your partner should be treated with whatever you were treated with, or if it's unlikely that your partner could have gotten your infection. Sometimes pregnancy changes the chemistry of the v____a. Since I've been pregnant, every time my husband and I have s_x he gets a rash...and I don't have any infections. It didn't happen during my last pregnancy, either, so it's just weird. We've been having to use condoms, for the first time in eight years.
