I was put on BC at a young age, 12(18 now) to regulate my period. I decided in Aug. to stop taking them after my pack was done and now I havent had a period yet. Is this normal? I took a test and it was negative.

I've read it can take up to a year for your periods to settle into a regular cycle. I've read loads of post where people havent had periods in about 10 months! so they go for blood tests to check oestrogen levels

A year is not natural but approximately 3 months is more the norm for your cycles to be stable. To answer your question even coming off bc its not normal not to have withdrawl bleeding or a period. I would def. visit your gyno.

It takes time for your body to get back in the swing of things. It took me 64 days to get my first period after going off the pill. I had no bleeding and no spotting at all druing that time. The next one didn't come for 44 days after that. Before my 3rd cycle I got pg so I know my body was working properly, just slower than normal. If it takes more than 3 months, go see your doc. They may chose to jump start it for you.

i came off the pill in january and only had 2 periods in 6 months.i had all the tests to check everything was fine as it seemed to be taking ages to get pregnant!! anyway good news i found out that i was pregnant in august (i was nearly 3 months gone and didnt know!!) i am now 20 weeks and everything is great!! so dont worry about it its just taking your body a while to return to normal. good luck!!
