Hey I am not being mean to any of you (by any means at all!!!). But I just have to say, don't try to have a baby when your a teen. I'm 20 years old with a (almost) 3 month old baby boy (born in Oct) and found out that I was pregnant when I was just 19 1/2 years old. I was well done with high school and everything but believe me, I was still so scared out of my mind to tell my parents. And I have my own roof over my head with my fionce!!! You don't take into concideration all the things that you must do and give up when your pregnant/ have a baby. Live your high school up and go to those Dances because that's a once in a lifetime thing and you dont want to miss them! Believe me, you don't want to be sitting at home with a colicky baby whose screaming his or her head off for the 3rd hour of the colic run while your friends are going to the movies or to prom. Just live your life as it is now! You have all the time in the world to grow up and have babies. Yes, I have to agree, that babies are a gift from God, and my son has made me a better person by far. But, just live your high school years to the fullest. Babies require a lot of your time and energy. Those "baby think it overs" have NOTHING on real live babies. I know a ton of girls who said, "Oh I'll still finish highschool and my mom can watch the baby while I'm there." I'm sorry to say, thats a slim to none chance of that happening. Mostly the all dropped out. Those little 12-15 year olds that go on Maury proclaiming that they have s_x and want a baby don't realize that the father will probably leave them (and those who do stay get my upmolst gratification b/c they are man enough to stay around) even tho they say "oh I love you I'll never leave you." Then around the 5th or 6th month, they are gone with a new girl. They definatly can't get a real job, so wheres the money for the formula and diapers and whatever else the baby would need comming from??? It honestly breaks my heart to see all these little girls like this. They need to enjoy their childhood. Like I said, I'm not being mean. I'm just saying it's hard having a baby young. I love my son with all my heart but if I could go back, I'd have definatly waited. Kudos to all you young mommies out there! I know how it feels! -Kailey

Oh I forgot to add. How do you plan on having a baby??? I had to be induced and when I finally got to 10 cm, my sons heartrate dropped really low and ended up needing an Em-Csec. That was major surgery and I doubt ANYONE wants to go thru that. You don't realize that your life doesnt matter anymore when you hear that your baby's in danger. I would've given up my life just to make sure my son was born ok.

your saying that no one wants to go and have to get a csection... thats not always true i am a teen and i am trying to get pregnant and when i do i will fight tooth and nail to have a csection.

No no no! I am just saying, you might get to be disapointed if you try to go for one thing and get told you cannot. I had my heart set on a vag birth but that didn't matter when my son was in danger. Also, if you are young, there are only certain reasons why a doctor will give a voluntary csection. That being an active herpies or GW outbreak (could be pa__sed on to the baby during a vag delivery), certain other med reasons, ect.. They consider it major abdominal surgery, which it most certainly is. If your afraid of ur Vag. getting stretched out, practace kegal excersizes during and after pregnancy. besides just getting everything toned "down there" and reducing the risk of ripping or needing an episiotomy, it can strengthen your bladder muscles since they can sometimes be out of wack during pregnancy and later on in life. All my friend's fionces, boyfriends, and husbands (who've had a reg birth) say there's not much difference between before and after. Also, everyone whos had a reg birth is just sore for a few days and are able to bounce back asap when those with csecs are stuck in bed till someone can help them out of it or can't even walk right because their backs and bellys hurt so bad. I walked hunched over for about a week because everything just hurt. What sucked the most about the whole thing was that I only got to give my son a kiss and then I was wisked away to recovery for 3 hours. I didn't get to hold my son right after and I was so mad about it. My stomache is still sore and I can't do everything (like run alot or situps due to the ab muscles) I want to do. If you only want it to not go thru labor pains, well there are always options like the epidural and everything. You have to get one for a csec anyway (unless your put under which sucks bc you wont see your baby right after its born). Epidurals don't hurt at all! They were awesome! I am a pansy for pain and I didnt feel that needle at all!!! Jessy, conrats! You must be so excited!!! If you have any questions lemme know and I'll give u my email addy...
