I dont know if i posted this before, but im only well i'll be 13 weeks tomorrow i think. My nipples are crusting over, mom says i dont have milk yet, Anyone know why they are getting crusty like that?

you can produce collostrum as early as 12 weeks....i'm 16.5 weeks and i've had it since about week 10. its just a hormonal response and your milk won't "come in" for many more months (usually right before the baby is born).

As to the milk, it does varie between woman when they do start having milk. Some have it early and some don't get it til their last month. My sister was 20 weeks when she was already lactating. She was also always leaking between 30-40 weeks.

and also for the record, i've had collostrum for the past 6 years and this is my first pregnancy! its a condition called gallactorhea, its pretty common.

its collostrum and you can start leaking it before your baby or not till after you have the baby...You wont start lactating untill you have the baby

yes i get this weird crust inside the nipple from the fluid i leak drying, its still kinda moist though, I use a Qtip to clean it out. Perfectly normal.
