Hi Lilly, It may seem like everyone is blaming you. However, your parents may really be the ones feeling guilty. I would suggest trying to talk your feelings out with your parents, relatives or even school counselor. This will get better once you and eveyone else has overcome the shock. Keep your head up.

I think you have to get past the blaming yourself part first. Any time we make any kind of mistake the mind tends to dwell on it, a___lyzing the situation so that it can be avoided in the future. Think of the last time you said something stupid to a friend and later regretted it. The name we give this emotion is guilt. It is exaggerated by the effect of pregnancy hormones. Work your way out of the guilt, turn to the world around you, put a smile on your face and a laugh in your voice, and you will find the world a much more supportive place.

Hi Lilly, I know you are confused with your situation and I hope that you are okay. I feel bad that you are going through these awful feelings. Have you considered an open adoption plan for your baby where you and the adoptive parents have ongoing relationship through your pregnancy and after the babys birth? Please email me at [email protected] if you would like to talk.
