33 Weeks Could They Be Wrong

When I first found out that I was pregnant I wasn't sure of the date of my last period so the doctor gave me an "estimate" for a due date. Then at about 9 weeks I had an ultrasound and they moved my due date back about 2 weeks. Well, now I am 33 weeks today. During the entire pregnancy I have been measuring "large" at 32 weeks I was measuring 36 cm. I had another ultrasound today and they told me that she weighs approx. 6 lbs. My doctor told me that they will not change me due date this late into the pregnancy. Is it possible that I am further along and will have to carry my baby past full term?

Ultrasounds aren't always accurate at measuring the weight. I had an ultrasound at 36 weeks that showed my baby weighed 9.5lbs, so they induced my labor. A day and a half later I had a c-section and a 6lb 4oz baby. Your body knows when it's time to have the baby, so if the doctor is wrong about your due date, you'll most likely go into labor earlier than the due date.
