39 Weeks AND NO Signs Of Labor

URGH!!! - November 27

This is my first preganancy and I'm 39 weeks and have not dialated at all, no loss of mucus plug, no baby dropping, no contractions other than light infrequent BH. I have had some diareah and nausea though --is this a sign? Has anybody ever experienced this and still gone into labor or is this a sign that I may be induced? My due date is Dec 5th and I'm going crazy to be done with this! If I have to wait to be induced I'm going to absolutely die! The heartburn amongst discomfort, and sickly feeling is enough to make you just want to croak! AND I have to return to work tomorrow after being on vacation a week! YIKES!!

I will be 39 weeks tomorrow and I am in the exact same situation as you. Its very frustrating, but what can I do? I've tried walking and s_x but nothing works. I've been on vacation for 1 week and have one more week this week but then I'm supposed to be on leave...that is if the baby ever comes. I'm glad there is someone out there going thru the same thing as me...even though it really sucks being in this situation. Good luck to u though.

I'm glad its not just me! I haven't tried to much because I'm so uncomfortable. I've tried walking but the pelvic pressue is too much. I got depressed at the mall yesterday becuase I just want to be normal again and cried most of the afternoon yesterday.

Apparently my little one is sitting on that nerve in the back/b___t area and it kills to walk but I am at the point where i will do anything. I totally agree with you...I want to be back to normal again too. Are you having a boy or a girl?

URGH - November 27

I've had that too with back/b___t pain. My DR sent me to a physical therapist a few months ago and turns out the pain is from my pelvic bone seperating and muscles are trying to hold it in place. I got some good stretch strategies that really helped.

I'm having a girl. How about you?

Me too - November 27

I'm also having a girl. When do u go to the dr next? I go on wednesday and I highly doubt there will be any change. I thought she had finally flipped this morning (she's head down but face up apparently), but she didn't. I think thats why she won't drop. :-(

URGH - November 27

I go back Tues afternoon. Mine is head down too, but that's all I know. She still also moves around like a mexican jumping bean after I eat...suprised she hasn't poked right thru.

My little one does the same thing. She loves to have her knees on the right side and push out with her little feet on the left side. I guess I am just a little too impatient, but I really wish she would just come out and play already. I hope your appt goes well!! I'll think of you. For me, any type of improve would be good news for me.

URGH - November 27

Mine is just like yours! Feet pushing up on one end, hands on the other! I can tell sometimes she lies on her side because my stomach gets all contorqued in the middle! I'll be thinking of you too! I hope I have some progress but I feel the same as you. BTW, have they told you how big she may be at birth yet?

Lesley - November 27

You still have 1 week till your due dates. A lot can happen in 7 days. I hope for your sake you don't go over. It is awfull. I went over with all 3 of mine, 14 days, 9 days, then 15 days. Doesn't seem a long time when you look at the numbers, but for everyday you are over feels like all 40 weeks dragged into 1 day!! It is really horrible

All they have told me is that she is "not too big and not too small" but I just know if I do go over, she is gonna be a chunk! I've only gained 16 1/2 pounds, but it's all baby. Kinda makes me nervous about pushing a big baby out of such a small hole :-). And really going over would bother me so much except for the fact that if I don't go back to work on my due date, I will lose my health ins. I have to work at least 32 hours a week. It doesn't help either that I am at home all day every day by myself til hubby gets home. Leaves me no other choice but to think about when and if she will ever come.

URGH - November 27

They told me mine should be between 6 1/2 - 7 pounds...I've gained about 25 pounds...not as bad as I thought I would gain! I hope I don't go over the due date either! But I need to keep working since my work is not happy about my pregnancy. I've missed a lot since in the beginning I had a threatened miscarriage and it has been one hell of a ride ever since. Thanx for encouragement Lesley! I hope something does happen this week! Don't want to resort to castor oil...sounds like something that should be put in a car LOL!!!

URGH - November 27

My poor husband works all day too, and comes home and has sympathy whatever I've got...all the way down to swollen feet!

Me too - November 29

I was just checking in to see how your appt went today URGH. Hope it went well!!!!

Brooke - November 29

I am due December 5th. On Thanksgiving night, I tried castor oil and trust me when I say this "IT DOESN'T" work for everyone!!!!!!!!! And in my opinion, it is not worth trying because it made me feel soooooo miserable. I was on the toilet all night with terrible stomach pains and I felt like I had the worst hang over the next morning. And not even a single contraction. I thought it would work since I was already dilated and effaced some, but I was WAY wrong!!!!

KarenY - November 30

I'll be 40 weeks on this coming friday but I can only feel baby's head pressure on my pelvic area, had some diarrhoea and that's all. I tried doing housework, squatting excercise and had s_x but doesn't seems to work. I'm losing my patience and I just hate to be induced. I'm so boring sitting at home now just waiting for the day to come, I'm so frustrated.
