5 Wks Preg How Did You Ladies Deal With M S And Work

I'm only 5 weeks pregnant and having bad morning sickness and I'm so tired all day long. I work full time in a very busy office enviroment and I'm just wondering from ladies who have gone through it already how you handled it. My husband and I don't want to tell anyone we are expecting yet, we haven't even told our families, (although it is hard not to. They are going to be so happy for us). Did anyone take time off work? Any tips? Please help the new comer to this whole pregnancy thing. Thanks!!!

Hang in there. The sickness probably won't end for a while! Just keep toothpaste and a toothbrush in your desk and try to find a bathroom that is not so crowded. I called in sick a couple times, when I just felt too horrible, but for the most part I kept going (I did not have that many sick days!) Try to get as much sleep as possible and drink a lot of water. And go outside for fresh air when you can. It will get better...

Thanks!

I was very lucky and never got morning sickness. However, I have heard that it helps if you keep crackers and ginger ale handy. The ginger ale is supposed to be calming to your stomach. The crackers are more to prevent the sickness, but keeping you sugar levels up. Try not to get too hungry or too full is what I've heard.
