I had an emergecy c-section last week. Since I'd never thought I'd have to have one, I did absolutely no research on c-sections. My question is: How long must one wait to have s_x after a c-section? 6 weeks? 8 Weeks? Does anyone know?

Hi there! I am no expert on this although i had my son who is now 6 1/2 by c-section and will be having my daughter in june by c-section.I really dont think there is a time frame on s_x just how you feel are your st_tches dissolved?or your staples removed?are you sore?can you walk around without being in pain?I think the time frame is relative what is important is how you feel physically i started having s_x again 3wks after my c-section i seemed to have a lot of pain and i waited until i felt mobile enough to engage in that activity.I hope i could help?

Hello! I am not an expert either, however I had a c-section last November with my five month old daughter, and to be honest, I phsyically felt fine enough to begin to have s_x around my third week. In my case, my husband, in the navy, was currently in another country. My staples were removed, my bleeding had stopped, and I felt physically fine. Nevertheless, I didn't have s_x until about my fifth week of recovery, and I don't think that it would've mattered:)

I had a c-section and had s_x 10 days later. It wasn't that comfortable, but it wasn't too bad either. Later the doctor told me I should have waited a few weeks (I wanted to get it over with while I still had painkillers ha ha). One thing I remember is that we actually needed lube.

I have had 3 c-sections & the doctor says not to have s_x until you go to your 6 week apt. I always wait the 6 weeks out.
