Am I Too Small

Hi! I'm in my 30 week with my first pregnancy. I'm a pet_te size with only 1.58m high and have already gained about 9 kg, yet all I've been hearing from the people I met is the same comment on how small me and my belly looked - they think I looked about 22-25 weeks or so. This makes me feel very uncomfortable and worried for my unborn. I don't smoke and never have any problem with food and still continue to eat like normal if not more (4-6 times a day). Though I was told by my doctor during my 28 week check up that everything is Ok with my baby. Still, with all these comments - they make me feel extremely paranoid as I don't want my baby to be borned underweight. Please help..

Hi Daow! I am in my 29th week and I also constantly get told I am small - people can't believe how far along I am! Everytime I have been to my OB or midwife visits, they never say a word about my little bump. They just measure me from below my b___sts to my pubic bone and as long as I'm within 3 cm of what I'm supposed to be, there's no problem. ie: had a check up at 28 weeks, and I measured 27cm, so I'm only 1cm behind my week! I too am short (163 cm), but of normal build, not overweight or underweight. I don't know how much I weigh now as the doc hasn't weighed me once during pregnancy! Don't worry too much, think of it as being lucky that we don't have big uncomfortable tummies to carry around! If your doc isn't worried then I'm sure everything is fine! Good luck!!!
