I have to take amoxicillin for a sinus infection, has any one else had to take this before. I just get nervous that it might hurt the baby

I am allergic to penicillin - but I know one time I had an infection while pg and the doctor mentioned, oh I can't give you penicilin cause you are allergic. It made it sound like it should be fine. I know there is also a website you can check - safefetus.com

amoxicillin is a completely safe antibiotic to take during pregnancy, and your doctor shouldnt give you anything that isnt. the molecules are too large to pa__s through the placenta so your baby wont feel affected. its best to get infections cleared up whilst your pregnant, because babies can be born and need IV antibiotics because of an infection the mother had. good luck and get better soon
