Hey Lindsay-not yet!! I am so close though. I was up all night with regular, strong contractions like every 5-10 minutes for like 12 hours! Since I wasn't really dialating further than 2 1/2 cm, my midwife encouraged me to try to sleep and then we'd see about getting things going again this morning. I am so tired! Contractions are still coming, but not as close together...so who knows. I have a little bit of bloody show, so I really think it could be today or tomorrow. I will post my story as soon as it happens! Thanks for thinking of me! How are you feeling?

wow, how frusterating... aren't you like 41 weeks now or more?? i'm SURE it has to be VERY SOON!! are you doing anything to try and keep things moving along or are you just relaxing?? as for me, i'm doing alright-- quite uncomfortable, but that comes with the territory :) i have a lot of pressure in my hips, thighs, and pelvis (feels like it is seperating!), and i get a lot of sweliing in my hands, legs, and feet as the day progresses, esp. if i'm on my feet a lot.so, i've been trying to take it easy, but i have a little more nesting to do ;-) i will have my first internal at 39 weeks on tues to see what's going on b/c my dr. really doesn't want me to go past my due date w/ my placental condition... i'm a little bummed, but of course i'll do whatever it takes as far as induction goes to bring my dd into the world safely! i'm still going to try my best at an unmedicated labor, even if i am induced... i'm pretty strong willed and i've been telling myself for weeks that I CAN DO IT! any advice as to what i can do to help things along? i'm going to try to find some raz-leaf tea b/c i've been having a ton more braxton hicks than usual, so maybe i can tone up my uterus and help them become a little more productive!! well, good luck to you, i hope things start moving along soon and pray that all goes well for you... this is so exciting, all of us women bringing babies into the world!!! can't wait to heat your story!!!

I'm actually 39 weeks exactly, due May 31st...but midwife really feels like it will be sooner. Yeah, last night was frustrating, but at the same time great practice and every day is progress, yeah know? It's like everyday my body is becoming more ready and that should hopefully mean an "easier" labor. I tell myself, I am in labor. It's early labor, but I am in labor, preparing for delivery. Lindsay-I responded to your thread about induction (in case you hadn't read), so hopefully some of those things will work for you. Thanks Nora1 for the good luck! Yeah know, I never thought I would feel this calm and brave before labor. I am not scared of the pain at all. So far from the contractions I had last night and am beginning to get again this evening after a very long walk, raz tea, a little nipple stimulation : ), and what not, is the hardened tummy with a lot of pressure pushing down on my cervix. It can feel piercing at times, especially if you have any fluid in your bladder. It's like you are trying to relax down there, but not so much that you pee yourself! Also feels like you need to c___p. : ) Anyways, I'm sure they will get more intense with it moving into my back, but I'm not scared. I know that my body is doing exactly what it should and I trust that. Lindsay-will be interesting to see what your progress is at your appointment-especially if you start these natural methods now. Hopefully your body will be able to go into labor when it's ready, but also trust that what is meant to be done will be done. This is such an exciting time for us. I am trying hard not to be impatient (SO HARD), but enjoy each moment because no matter what our babies are coming. They are on their way!
