I am being induced tomorrow .... This is my second pregnancy .... With my son, I went completly natural... and I feel compelled to do the same with my daughter... However, I hear that induction are much more painful... Anybody want to share their story... I am very nervous about tomorrow

I don't have a story for you, but congrats on being induced tomorrow! I'm interested to hear on how you managed the pain during your first natural labor. I'm planning on doing this also and have begun reading a book on Hypnotherapy, but would love to hear your strategy! Thanks!

Nora... I swam alot and did alot of yoga during my pregnancy... Breathing became key as I got closer to delivering my son... I also think that you will need to remain as calm as possible.... That will be primordial... hope it helps....

Hi, I was induced with my third. The contractions were not any worse than the other two. It does come on quick. If your body is ready to be induced it should be fine. I labored 2 extra hours with being induced. No complications. Good luck. I hope all goes well.

i've only given birth one time.. and i was induced. so i can't compare it to going into labor on your own. when i went in i told the nurse i was going to try to do it without the epidural and she laughed and told me with it being my first child, and being induced, i would need the epidural because the contractions would hit so fast and be really intense. i did actually start getting contractions fast (about 10 minutes after they administered pitocin).. but it took me from 5:30 pm ( 2 cm) until 7:30 am (7/12 cm, water broke) to really feel any pain. the painful contractions lasted about an hour and half.. then i pushed for another hour and a half and my daughter was born.. drug free. :) so it's not impossible. i really went into it thinking i was going to be in so much pain i wouldn't be able to tolerate it. but luckily it was bearable and hopefully this one will be too! i hope you have a quick and easy labor/delivery!!! :) i'm excited to hear how it went for you!!
