Anybody Planning Vaginal Birth After C Section

I am in my first trimester but wanted to ask some of you ladies that are farther along. I had my first appt the other day and right off the bat the doctor said, "you had a c section the first time so most likely that will be the case this time." The first time he induced me at three days late, I was in labor for 26 hours before they decided to do a c-section. I had dialated to 8cm and then the doctor said my cervix hardened. Now I regret being induced. I think if it had happened naturally it would have gone better. I don't know. Just looking for some input. Have you been discouraged or encouraged either way? Thanks ladies

hi - February 17

I am in my second trimester and I had an emergency c with my first. Up until my 22 week, my doc had said that we would see when we got the baby's measurements. My son was 10 pounds and this baby will probably be a little bigger cause he's dating ahead three weeks. In the beginning, my doc said that she didn't reccomend it due to all the problems I had, but she wouldn't rule out a vbac, but at the last appt. she said that she wouldn't reccomend it for this one. So we went ahead and scheduled a preliminary date-but shes pretty sure that I should go be C. But to have a doc tell you so soon-without even waiting to see if you have the same problems is jumping the gun a little. I would resaearch why your cervix hardened and get a second opinion if you really want to try a vbac. Good luck to you!
