Anyone Else Overdue And GRUMPY

I was due last Friday (1/20), and I am so sick of waiting. I am trying to stay positive, because I'm still really healthy, very little swelling, and all that. BUT- I am getting 20 + calls a day from well meaning friends and family, "Have you had the baby yet?" Yes, I had the baby without telling anyone, then came straight home to answer the phone. They've even begun calling me at work and asking that. If I had the baby, would I be at work? People only see me as a pregnant lady, I never get asked anything about my personal life, just, "When ya due? How ya feel?" Then there are the people you don't even know, who stop you on the street to ask about it, then they have to add their 2-cents. "Shouldn't you be at home? Why did your husband let you go out by yourself?" Excuse me?!!! And like I said, people are well meaning, but it gets SO OLD. I know I sound so b!tchy, and I'm sorry! I just have to get this out to other people who understand, rather than blow up at someone who is trying to be nice. Anyone else going through this?

hey ginny im due today and dont see it happening but i agree with you on th ephone calls its very annoying. i stopped working last week i had to go in today for something and a few people were liek you should come to work probably get things moving yeah right my job is a lot of heavy lifting i could barely lift my 2 year old when i got home my last night. are you feelign any different i have a doctors appt tomorrow and im gonna ask to be induced i doubt they will i have the b___hy one tomorrow and she hurts doing internals. well good luck hope you have it soon!!!!!!!!!!!

I have begun to hate the internals, Amanda! They are extremely uncomfortable, and then they don't really tell us anything new. But I went yesterday and the dr. scheduled an induction for the 31st, so now I have an end in site. Oh, and I have one more thing to complain about - while I'm at it, LOL. Everyone says, "Have you tried walking?" As though that is some kind of magic trick that only they have told me about. I have walked my feet sore the past 2 weeks and I have very little to show for it!!
