I have GD and was just wondering if anyone else did. How often do you check you sugar? what are you numbers? Now that I am in my ninth month, I notice that the sugar is a little easier to control...anyone else?

I found out I have gd about 2 months ago. I have to check my sugar every morning and 1 to 2 hours after dinner. I'm 37 weeks now so hopefully not much longer my #'s are between 90-140 depending when I take it. I think It's been easier now because I can't eat as much the baby is taking up to much room.

Lucky you. I have to take mine 4 times a day. My fasting (first thing in the morning) they want below 90 and then 2 hours after each meal they want below 125. My fasting has always been in the 90's but the past week or two it has been in the 80's. I read that this can be a sign of early delivery because the placenta is not producing as much growth hormones causing my sugar to be high, this can mean that the hormone production is shifting some to get ready for labor. I sure hope so! I am 37 weeks too. Do you get NST or biophysical profiles or anything else? Starting next week I have to go in for contraction stress tests weekly until I deliver, but they said that they won't let me go much past my due date of 11/29 anyway.
