Are You Sick Of Maternity Clothes

I am so sick of my maternity clothes. I'm only 28 weeks pregnant and I feel like they are all getting too small for me. all of my pants, cut me underneath stomach and are extremely uncomfortable. I think I'm outgrowing my bras. I'm already a DD, where the heck do I go from there? ugh...just wanted to vent a little. I work in an office and have to dress "somewhat" decent, but I swear I'm about ready to roll in here in sweatpants.

Hey Mel...I am the same as you. I am 28 weeks pregnant and I swear I must have put on four shirts today before I settled....I felt like I looked like stuffed mushroom in them all! I felt like they were so tight and that they weren't long enough! I work in an office too, so its tough. I wish I could just wear my tshirts all day long! I am also big up there. I was a DD before being pregnant and moved to a DDD (I didn't know what came next either!) Then last night I was wondering, are they going to get even bigger when the milk comes in?? Gosh I am going to be like a walking b___b! When are you due?

I understand completely! I am a little over 36 weeks - and I'm so sick of seeing them! I have quite a few outfits, and they are pretty cute (maternity clothes have come a long way!) - but obviously, I don't have as many as my regular wardrobe. So I feel like I'm always wearing the same thing. Plus, my weight has recently shifted, and even though I haven't gained weight, my stomach is suddenly huge, and right in front of me- so alot of my clothes don't fit anymore - but I'm in my final stretch here, and I refuse to buy more maternity clothes. Everyone is going to have to deal with me wearing sweats (and my husband's shirts!) until I deliver.

- I can say it's made me appreciate the clothes I have though. I was always whining that I needed more clothes, and that I was tired of the ones I had - no I realize I have a ton of clothes, and it's going to be like christmas going thru them again!

I know - I can't wait. I was thinking about all the outfits I will have when I can get back into them......

I am not so sick of my mat clothes yet as I got most of them at Christmas. I was being cheap and trying not to buy anything and make due with what I had at home (It really wasn't working that well!). So my mom and sister bought me all kinds of shirts and sweaters for me to wear and I am still in the happy new clothes mode. I have a pair of maternity pants that I wear for work. I really don't like them but they are loose and don't push on my belly like my other maternity pants. When I bought them they fit well but after wearing them for about 20 minutes they stretch out like crazy. I swear I have diaper b___t with them. Luckily, I do not have to look dressy for work - just presentable. I am sure my co-worker is sick and tired of my diaper b___t pants but hey - too bad! I have some other pants but as I advance week by week they dig too much into my belly. I had a good white bra but one on my new shirts turned it red I keep washing it but nothing is working!

my maternity clothes weren't bothering me at all until this morning, then something hit. Probably had something to do with hormones! But I just hate them todya. I only have 2 pairs of pants that I can wear to work. I could wear my skirts, but that would mean I would have to shave the legs and that's getting difficult too (I'm 30 weeks). Anyways, I feel your pain. Can't wait to get home and get in my comfy prego yoga pants.

Kel- I'm due march 28th. when is your due date. so you went to DDD? I didn't know if it was that or E. geez. and where the heck do you get bras that big? everyplace I shop stops at DD it seems. I'd give anything to wear my husbands sweatpants and t-shirts everywhere I go. sigh. Girl Gilly- on your bra, try mixing some dishwashing detergent (the granulated kind) in some water and soaking your bra in it. someone told me about that with my son and getting the yellow "puke" stains out of his white onesies and it worked pretty well.

April 2 is my due date. I was just looking for bras and stumbled on a DDD....it was actually as Kohls! And it was the minimizing kind so I thought that was kind of good. Anything to make them smaller!! I think its actually a Bali (brand) bra. Are you nursing? I want to and wonder where I might find a bra to fit.....will the tas tas getting bigger when the milk comes in?? gosh, I hope not!

April 2 is my birthday! I've thought about how neat it would be to have this baby on my birthday, but at this point, I don't want to go any further past my due date than necessar and actually a day or two sooner would be sweet. with my first pregnancy I started out a D and went up to a DD. my b___bs were already so big when the baby arrived, I don't really recall them getting much bigger when my milk came in. I just woke up one morning and they were HARD AS A ROCK! It was freaky. I didn't b___stfeed with my first and I don't recall having a lot of the pain that most women report with my milk drying up. don't know if that's due to large b___sts or what.

I realized that I just did one of my own pet peeves. when you tell someone your due date and that insist on telling you EVERYONE they know that has that birthday. LOL! Everyone have a good night!

Kel - January 10

Ha ha, mel! Funny thing is, when everyone asks me my due, I always say March 28 is the day that sticks in my head so that is my guess on the day I think I am going to deliver!!

Okay Mel and Kel, I have to one up on the bra size. My friend is a size F! Yup, they actually make that size. And that is her pre-pregnancy size! Scary stuff. She has to buy her bras at a specialty lingerie store which translates into lots and lots of $$$$. She is pregnant right now and I have not asked her if she has increased in size - I am a little afraid to! So, I guess you can take that as a positive that you are not the biggest out there!! he! he! Mel, thanks for the laundry tip - I will try it tonight.

Kel - January 10

Thanks Girl Gilly - thank makes me feel better!

mel - January 11

Wow. I do feel better. F? I don't even know the girl and I wanna give her a hug. :-( I'm going to try to hold out a little longer on buying any more bras....to see where I go from here. Once I get that "third b___b" thing going on where you push out the top....I'll be on my way to the store.

I, too, am top heavy. Which doesn't really fit my body type.Pre-preg I am 5'7" and 120 to 125 lbs. And I'm a D. With my first I started out as a c and ended at a dd. After she was born I stayed at a d. I think that might be because I didn't b___stfeed. Anyway, I grew out of my cute bras immediately this time and finally broke down and bought a granny bra. Mostly for comfort and support. It's a bali minimizer from kohl's too, but now it's way to tight. When I take it off, which isn't often, I have huge indentions in my skin. Time for a bigger size(dd). I look so stupid because I have huge b___bies and a big stomach and no a__s....absolutely No a__s. I'm eventually going to just fall foward and never get up. I need some a__s for balance. As for maternity clothes.....I hate them and would probably burn them if I hadn't of forked out so much money for them. Like kendra said, maternity clothes have come a long way. I walked into thanksgiving wearing a tank top and one of those shorter longsleeved sweater like things and my aunts looked at me funny. I was like, What?and they said well when we were pregnant most people tried wearing things to hide their bellies and you're just letting it all hang out. I'm thinking f*** that. I will wear clothes that make me feel halfway decent. I refuse to wear the curtains. I was really disappointed in kohl's selection of maternity clothes. All they had was the big-curtain-like shirts.ewwww. oh, also, I did not b___stfeed with my first and my b___bs were sooo, sooo, sooo sore for the 3-4 days after I had her. Very full, much like a p___n star, and extremley tender.
