Arms Fall Asleep

I'm 38 weeks plus, and for the last 4 weeks my arms have been falling asleep whenever I lay down to sleep, or if they are bent while awake. My doctor said it's just a positional problem, but that doesn't help when I'm laying in bed trying to fall asleep and my arms hurt so bad because there is no blood flow. Anyone else out there with the same problem? Any suggestions on how to make it through these last few days?

How is your blood pressure? Blurred vision, headaches? Numbness can be a sign of pre-eclampsia but your obviously going to the doctor regularly and he's probably doing all the necessary testing so if he doesn't think it is anything, just keep monitoring it. Do some exercises and maybe some ma__sage to get the blood circulating. Good Luck.

If were anything serious, I'm sure your doctor would have picked up on it. He is right, it is the position of the baby. Try sleeping on an angle rather than lying flat. I lie on about three pillows (propped up) on my side with a body pillow supporting the rest of my body. I found that to be about the only comfort. Also, just ma__sage your arms (or have your partner do it) on a regular basis to help the blood flow.
