ATTN All Those With Cats And Wondering About Starting Labour

I've been meaning to post this for some time, but my newborn has kept me busy! I just wanted to let you know that my cat knew when I was going to go into labour. She is a clever cat, and quite attentive to me. Anyway, she starting acting strangely the night before my water broke. That evening, my DS starting thrashing around inside me, much more vigourously than ever before. I didn't think much of it, since I was at 39 weeks and thought this was par for the course. I just grabbed the camcorder, taped some of it, and then tried to go to sleep. Well, about 3 hours later, at around 2:30 AM, I woke up with my cat licking my face and meowing, and carrying on and behaving in a way that I've never seen before. I just kept pushing her off of me because I really wanted to sleep! Well, at 5 AM, I felt a big POP, and I lay there thinking... "now what was that?" Then I felt a huge gush of water, and....well, you can guess the rest. Anyway, just wanted to share that story. Pay attention to how much attention your cat pays to you! hahahaha I thought it was pretty neat, and I have a new respect for my cat. She evidently has a sixth sense. Good luck to all!

Thats really cool. I have two cats and I noticed that my 1 year old cat is meowing a lot more and early this morning she started at 5 am and I'm thinking I need sleep been up seens 2am. I also noticed with my older cat lucy is that she started sleeping with me and she isn't one two do that. Thought that was different. Then I have a cat thats only 4 months old and noticed that he needs to be with me or at lest know where I'm at. I'm 41 weeks tomorrow. Lucy also scatches at the bathroom door when I'm in there and she'll lay at the bathroom day when I takea shower. I think its cool. Could it be soon for me. My Dr. won't induce because the baby to doing great.

That's pretty wild.... Thanks for telling your story. I'll keep this in mind. I myself have 2 cats and they both are my side kicks. It's so funny cause the youngest cat is very jealous of the older one. And they both push on one another for space next to me. And heavens forbid if I should rub on one more than the other, the older one starts to slap my hand w/ her paw.... But, that is wild.... I'm due in May, so I'll keep my eyes open for changes in them.... Thanks, Stars... :)
