Hey everyone, I know I may have read a thread about this awhile ago but I don't remember since it was irrevalant back then to me. I was wondering how long after my baby drops can I expect to go into labor? My doctor did an exam yesterday and he didn't tell me her station but he did say she had dropped very low. Oh, this is my first pregnancy.

Darn-oh well, I guess we just all get to be patient and wait together right?

hi tami. apparently you can't tell, especially with a first baby. labour may be days or weeks away from the time your baby drops. for second timers, sometimes the baby doesn't drop until labour actually begins.

Well, ladies thanks for the answers! :) It is getting so hard to be patient but I will just have to be. I think it would be easier if I didn't keep having these darn contractions (almost 3 weeks now), but my little girl just may not be ready! Hope all of you ladies are doing well today.

in the last week i have been having really bad groin pain.. like someone has kicked me really hard down there.. lastnight it was so painful i could barely walk - i was told that this is because the baby has dropped and her head is usually putting pressure on your pelvic floor muscles...
