I am 30 weeks pregnent, and getting very bad back pain. It seems to come and go, but when it comes it hurts very bad. What can I do for it?

Make sure you are practicing good posture. This accounts for most back pain, even in pregnancy. You can use a heating pad and if it gets really bad, take a couple Tylenol.

Hi there Jen I'm 32 weeks pregnant and have on occasions suffered lower backache too. I've found a hot water bottle in bed really helps and also getting into the shower and having the hot water sprayed on my back whilst leaning againts the cubicle wall. It's one of the worst pregnancy symptoms for me because if the pain doesn't go away, I can't get to sleep:-( I would recommend staying away from all painkillers because despite what the manufacturers say about them being safe for the baby, the fact that they will get through the placenta is just not worth the risk.

I have backpain on my right side esp. today. I have had almost back spasms. It really huts esp. in hte last hour. Oh well, at 33 weeks, they say it is the baby changing positions. What a pain...

I'm also 30 weeks and having strong back pain - it's been for weeks now. I heard chiropractor can help. I can't afford it, so only my husband gives me ma__sage every evening - not professional, but better than nothing!
