Birth Positions

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and I want to start writing a birth plan (although I know you can never plan these things for sure!). I was wondering from those of you who have had children before, which positions you would recommend for labour. I've got loose ligaments in my hips (SPD) and so need to be in a position where I don't have to have my legs too far apart.

Either on all 4's, or on your knees. They are supposed to be the easiest. But it all depends on what pain relief you have too. A lot of them leave you bed bound and cant move about.

Nothing goes as planned, just remember that. Ha ha! I went in for a water birth and my contractions started out fast but tolerable. I found that standing and leaning against the towel rack helped for some dumb reason but when they got me on the bed to hook up the monitor they broke my water and then they were PAINFUL! I wanted to get off but they wouldn't let me cus baby wasn't active enough and they ended up doing an internal on her to monitor her and then I ended up with a c-section! But I found that standing and leaning over something helped. When they were doing my spinal I had to sit on the edge of the bed and a contraction hit me and I jumped off the bed and wrapped my arms around my fiance and just screamed into his neck! Poor guy. We joked and laughed at prenatal cla__ses about the labor videos and how we'd never do half that stuff but guess what, you do!!!!! And the hubby's don't laugh either! I thought for sure mine would but he felt pretty bad for me and let me do whatever I wanted and never laughed or left my side. I was expecting him to bolt on me! Ha ha!
