Bleeding After Exam

I went to my doctor appt today for my 38 week check-up. She examined me and told me I was still closed but was soft. Afterwards, I stood up and I was bleeding. The blood was a pinkish color. I have been kind of crampy and was wondering if this means anything. The exam was not rough at all and felt just like all the others. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Go back to her and get checked. From what I heard, sometimes they stripp the membrances not intentionally so that means you could be going into labor. Anytime durning the pregnancy if there's blood - GO and get checked. Pls keep me posted good Luck!

You do not have to go back since you will be back in another week anyway. This is completely normal,,, I'm surprised your doc did not tell you to expect some bleeding and cramps afterwards. As long as it remains a pinkish color and is not enough to fill up a pad, you do not need to worry about it. I am pregnant with my fourth child and I can remember with EVERY one of them, at the end when the doc checked my cervix, afterwards I would cramp a little and have a little bloody show.
