Bowel Troubles Before Labor

I have read on this site in the past that many women experience bowel troubles right before they go into labor and was wondering if there is truth to it? I'm 36.5 weeks and had an upset stomache all weekend and have had a LOT of poops. It seems that I've even read some where that the body takes it upon itself prior to labor to clean out. Any comments from non first time moms?

I'm 36 weeks as well, and I've been having lots of poops for the past two weeks. Its starting to get on my nerves!!

Your body will naturally clean itself out before labor. I'm 38 weeks and constipated again, but around 35-36 weeks my stomach was very touchy.

I had that about a month ago, im now 5 days over, and like pbj am constipated again. I never had diarrhea before my first 2 children were born

its not diarrhea, I just have to poop a lot and not to be gross but I've been worried that I would clog the toilet.

I am 36 weeks and have heard about that happening before labor. I too have been going a lot the past week but i think its probably from the antibiotic im on or the stomach virus that has been going around where i like.
