Braxton Hicks Or The Real Deal

I am 33 weeks and I have been having BH contractions since about 20 weeks. They have started to get more frequent and at times they are super hard. Sometimes I have to sit down they are so hard and I feel out of breath. I have 2 children, but I had c-sections with both and never experienced full-on labor, so I'm not sure I know the difference. Will I just KNOW if the BH contractions turn into the real thing? Also, if BH are hard enough, can they send me into labor?

Apparently they say that if they are Real you will know it! and if you have to ask then they probably arent real. But if you are truly concerned then I would ask to see your doctor at the soonest appointment. I dont know if I would go to the ER but if they are painful then maybe go into the L & D center of your hospital for a checkup.

I had real contractions a few weeks ago (and sporadically ever since) and did NOT know it. Apprently real contractions feel a lot like menstrual cramps. Whereas BH feels like your uterus balling and tightening up - very uncomfortable. If you feel cramping - like a period - you might want to see your doctor to make sure you're not dialating or anything like that. It's better to be safe. Feel better!!!!
