Can The Baby Move Quot Too Much Quot

I thought that movement would slow down by now (36 weeks), but he has actually become way more active. Typically, this should be a good thing, but he is moving so frequently and with such vigour, I'm actually scared he's in distress or something? Is he flailing out of discomfort or pain? He used to be quite docile all day and wind up after supper in the evening, but now he bumps around all day, really revs it up in the evening and continues to move all night. Aren't they suppose to sleep? I would be so thrilled with all this movement, as long as I knew he was OK? Anyone else have increased movement like this at 36 weeks?

im 35 weeks and my baby is showing no signs of slowing down. she moves all the time and like u say, quite vigorously, i thought she might be distressed but midwife a__sured me this is ok and baby is just active. we may find that in the next couple of weeks they slow down a lot and then i bet we will worry about that too!!

well im 39 weeks, and my little guy hasnt slowed down until just this past week so i dont think its anything to worry about. Actually the doc told me it was normal they dont normally slow down until they are completely dropped and settled into your pelvis. Hope this helps!

Me too! I am 36 1/2 weeks and she is pounding the heck out of me. I feel like she never sleeps! I always have a foot or knee sticking out!
