Can You Get An Epi During Induction

i know im posting a lot lol but i wanna know as much as i can. i searched it up on google but cant find exactly what im looking for. i was wondering if you're induced can you still get an epi? when can you get it?

Yep you can and you can get the epi at whatever point you feel ready. I was 4 cm when I got mine. My nurse said they have even done it for people only 1 cm, lol.

Hi Krista-lee! I will most likely end up with an induction and my doc said they will give me an epi at about 4 cm. I am already at 2, so that can't be too far off! Good luck to you - i know you are overdue and I hope you go into labor on your own. Best wishes!!!

I was given the pitocin and also got an epidural. They advised me to let them know when the pain is no longer bearable, its your call.

you can get teh epi at almost anytime you want it even with induction. Although they say that sometimes if its given too ealry it can slow labor so you may want to wait until you have started contractions and are sure in labor.....I had an epi, can't remember how dilated I was, but it was so nice! I highly recomend them! didn't take the pain sompletely away, but was able to sleep some and the my sis and hubby had to tell me when the contractions were really hars so I could push. It was nice to have that edge gone.....
