Does your cervix ever completely close after having a baby? Is it normal to be dilated (a finger tip or so) early on w/ a subsequent pregnancy w/ out it being a sign of early labor?

your cervix should close completely after having a baby. How "early" on are we talking about here? A finger tip really isn't that big of a deal and woman can start to dialate weeks before going into labor. But if it is happening too early on, I'm sure if your doctor was concerned, they would put you on bed rest or something.

after my first at 6 weeks after birth I was closed. so I dont think you stay open, I am 37 weeks and at 1cm but that doesnt mean anything.

Your cervix should completely close up again after having a baby. If you are afraid you are dilated and it's really early talk to your doctor.

You cervix should definetly be closed after birth. that is why they tell you to abstain from s_x for 6 weeks and you have a check up at the 6 weeks point to be sure that your cervix did close.
