Choosing Sides

I'm 28 weeks and I think my baby has just reached my ribs because I can feel him poking my ribs, only on the right side, it's pretty uncomfy and I'm sure it gets worse as he'll be gatting alot bigger. But now it always feels like maybe his head is pushing really hard into my right side, I still feel low kicks though, I'm so confused is my baby laying lengthwise across my belly? Anybody felt anything like this? It hurts he's always pushing out my right side, sometimes I can see it too, any idea how you can distinguish which part of the body they are poking/kicking/punching/pushing you with?

I still can't tell which part is which and I'll be 40 weeks Friday. The only way I know it isn't her head is cause her head is firmly engaged in my pelvis (doc said so).

I have no clue what is what, although I think his foot or knee is in my right ribs, since I was told that he is head down on the last ultrasound. I don't think there is any good way to tell except maybe by an ultrasound.

Hi beth. I am 37 weeks and have the same thing. I feel him on the right and the left...his feet must be on the right because thats where I get the most powerful kicks. I went to the doc today for my weekly check up and the doctor said his head was down. They just take up more space so you can feel them all over. He still gets the hiccups alot to and I feel those down below in my pelvis so i know he's heading down the right track! Good luck with you!
