Constipation Gone

Hello, I am 28 weeks pregnant and pretty much throughout my whole pregnancy I have been constipated and have had very firm bowel movements (sorry for all this info). The last few days my bowel movements have been very soft, not quite diarehea, but almost. Is this normal, or is it something else? I get worried with every symptom change and am sooo worried about preterm labor. I have also been noticing pain in my tailbone and some pelvic pressure. Any one else???

Actually, it sounds like you're just now starting to have healthy bowel movements! have you changed your eating habits, drinking more liquid, or started exercising? All those things can affect that stuff. But if you're at all worried, definitely call your doc. Its not worth worrying about, and that's their job!

hi g, am 27 weeks pg and i have noticed the same thing and my hemorrhoids have also gone down a great deal. although i've been adding more fruits and fibre to my diet, so I guess thats it and i also worried but not too much to ask about it. I was just glad. also I havent been having any significant pains but a little pressure just after a pee for a couple seconds. I just rub over it -across- and it goes away. Goodluck!

I asked my doc about the tailbone pain and he said it was nothing to worry about - but then went on to say that it may "pop" during labor. His "pop" meant break. I was like, oh nothing to worry about????? He said I should be fine though!!!
