Dizziness Heaviness Help

Lately I have been having these strange episodes of severe dizziness and breathlessness, I feel heavy and warm all over and my head feels like it's filling up and too heavy to carry. I have these kinds of episodes at least three times a day, the only thing that seems to help is napping, or sometimes they go away after a few hours. For those of you that don't know I do have gestational diabetes, and I watch my diet very carefully. Every time I check my blood sugar during these episodes, it looks good, between 70 and 100. I got my bp checked yesterday, the doctor said it looked good. I wasn't having one of these episodes then though. When they happen, this is how it feels: I feel heavy, dizzy, it's hard to breath, I get a strange warm tension in my neck, I feel a light throbbing at the base of my skull, and I get super uncomfortable. Then after about forty minutes I have all of those feelings, but instead of being uncomfortable, I feel like I could close my eyes and just float away...It's harder to breath during these times, and I get scared. I tried to tell my doctor all of this yesterday but she had so many 9 o clock patients and was in a hurry, so she just told me to eat a snack and see if it helps. I don't know if she actually heard all I said. Don't get me wrong, she's a very good doctor and usually answers all of my questions satisfactory, she was simply busy yesterday. Now I am scared and don't know if something is seriously wrong, but I could use as much advice and personal experiences as I can right now. Thank you so much!

I have always had some problems with iron deficiency and anemia, although my doctor said when they last checked my blood (28 weeks) I was not anemic.......I hope it is all normal, and migraines, oh those are horrible :(

i had this as well with my last pregnancy near the end and got really no explanation other than it was one of the joys of being pregnant nothing bad ever happened because of it other than the fact that it feels awful when it's happening, good luck hopefully you dont have to much longer to go.

Oh wow, I have been having the exact same things happen to me for the last 2 weeks - I thought maybe it was all in my head! I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow and I've been getting extremely dizzy, out of breath, and feeling heavy in my arms and shoulders - almost like I can't stand up sometimes and like I'm just going to fall over. I mentioned it to my OB last week and she wasn't concerned about it .... although it is still freaking scary when it happens! My BP is fine and no other problems so I guess it is just all part of it. All these symptoms are really starting to get old!
