I am 31 weeks pregnant, and sometimes when I think the baby is kicking or whatever it really stops me in my tracks...It's like he takes my breath away it's that intense...it is rather uncomfortable although only lasts seconds at a time, and am wondering if this is normal.

Mine arent uncomfortable, but I definately do feel them. I dont think they are suppose to hurt though. Are you thin? That could be maybe why. It could just be that you are so thin and your skin is very tight and it could be pulling your skin? Im not sure though

Hi beth
I am 33 weeks and I am not thin and when baby kicks or moves a certain way it hurts...I asked the doctor and she told me it was normal. Sometimes I am walking and the baby will make a weird move and I have to stop walking for a few seconds cause of the pain. Then when he kicks into my ribs that is very uncomfortable. I know a lady here at work that broke her mothers rib when she was her mothers stomach...now that sounds painful.

HI, I AM 34 WEEKS NOW AND SOME KICKS ARE JUST STARTING TO GET PAINFUL MY BABY IS HEAD DOWN AND SHE IS KEEPING HER FEET IN MY RIGHT SIDE AND I SWEAR THE OTHER DAY SHE STRETCHED OUT SO FAR IT WAS NEARLY IN MY BACK I HAD TO RUD HER BACK INTO PLACE AND I CAN FEEL HER FEET PERFECTLY EVEN THE DOCTOR SAID HE COULD GRAB HER LITTLE FOOT AND SQUEEZE IT. AT NIGHT ESPECILLY IS WHEN IT GETS PAINFUL SEEING HOW US PREGNANT LADIES HAVE TO SLEEP ON OUR SIDE, SHE DOES NOT LIKE IT TO MUCH SHE LIKES TO KEEP ME AWAKE.

Hi,I'm almost 32 weeks and I'm also noyicing that some movements are pretty painfull.I'm also having problems sleeping at night. It don't matter on what side I lay the baby starts throwing a kicking fit,I can even feel it kicking against my pillows and in the morning it takes about 11/2 hour for my belly to feel normal again, when I get up it feels bruised.I'm giving my boy the name Lee as middelname, because he kicks like Bruce Lee!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my, sounds pretty normal to me now that I've heard some reactions. I liked the comment about Bruce Lee. I am thinking about changing my baby's name to something more appropriate for his activity...maybe somewhere on the lines of Billy Blanks...you know the guy from the Tae-Bo exercises? Ha Ha...This will be one characteristic I will be sure to tell my son when he gets up...He was tough one...
Thanks everyone...
