DROPPING

Approx' when should you start noticing that your belly is dropping?? I read that ladies who are having their first baby drop a bit earlier than ladies who have already been pregnant before, but how much earlier??? I'm 33 weeks and EVERYONE, especially my co-workers have said they noticed that my belly has dropped. I'm a teeny bit worried, because isn't dropping an indication that the baby is ready to be born soon? I still have a month and 3 weeks to go!!

Babies commonly drop earlier in first pregnancies, around 2-3 weeks before your due, but even if your baby has dropped earlier I don't think you need to be worried - your dr or midwife will be able to tell you at your next app't, and if they think it means you might go early, they will tell you and check you out. You'll be ok!

Thanks Kara, I was a tad bit worried, only because I'm NO WHERE near ready to bring a baby home within the next few weeks.

I am now 35 weeks and on my 3rd child and have been at -2 station for two weeks. My Dr. has told me that I won't make my due date but I never have. I have read that for first time moms can drop anywhere from 2-6 weeks before there due date so I wouldn't worry. As for already being low I am extremely low with this one that I on;y noticed dropping by the change in shape of my stomach rather that the lowness of it. Hope this helps
