Hello to old friends, and welcome new ones.

Kendra - December 6

Okay, I started a new one...although you might check the old one to catch up, before making the switch. I'd hate for you to miss my awe inspiring final post.

Beth - December 6

I can't even begin to talk about being terrified of all the things to come...so I won't, just now that I'm terrified :) Oh and Kendra you are special, I haven't had a nosebleed :) even though the air is so dry I step out of the shower and my skin dries up and cracks, I lotion like 50 times a day, who would have known that instead of spending all of our money on weird cravings that I would get at odd hours of the night (I was very excited about this happening, but sadly it hasn't the only thing I crave is oj) who knew I would spend our lives savings on lotion.....what can ya do? I wonder how crystal is doing....hmmmmmm

dwc - December 6

Kendra, my dh has upon many times pointed out how large my nipples are. I could yell. Thanks for the words of encouragement. We finally got our computer systems back up and going and now my mind has gone back to thinking about work some... Boy, I must be more careful about the combination of foods that I eat at one setting. I also was wondering about crystal. Hope she is able to get to her hubby's computer soon to update us all.

Forgot to tell you guys my funny story for the week. Last night I took a bath, my 6 year old dd wanted to get in with me so I let her. She looked at me naked and said, mom you really need to shave your private area, it is up on your belly. While trying not to cry I explained to her I could not see my private area enough to shave it right now, it would just have to wait till after the baby gets her, she ask if she could help me, but I told her no, that she may cut mom with the razor and it would hurt. well we went ahead and took our bath, which was quite uncomfortable because I could not get into a relaxing position with her in there with me. Well I got out before she did and I went to put on my panties, I held them up to make sure I was putting them on correctly and again my dd said, mom are those pops' underwear, I could have cried on the spot and said no, they are my pregnancy underwear... My sister also stated that I looked big this weekend, but was no where near the size I should be for this stage of pregnancy. They are just really on me this week for some reason.

Michelle - December 6

hey guys had my tests done to check for pre-clampsia and now I have to take all my urin for 24 hours in a bottle for testing it's so frustrating. I'm so worried. I did look into it it's quite serious sounding has anyone else had this scare?? I'm so worried about whats going to happen. If anyone has info please let me know I'm going crazy with worrie.....

dwc - December 6

Michelle, wow you poor thing, I can't imagine the stress you are going through right now... My sister had it, she had real bad swelling/high blood pressure etc. I do not know what it is like first hand, but they took my nephew 4 weeks early by c-section. Both he and my sister are fine, but it was really scarey the day they finally decieded to take him, she had really bad high blood pressure and they couldn't get it down. I will keep you in my thoughts, but as I stated she and baby are fine now, my cousin also had it with her first child and they took him by c section but he was actually past his due date, so everyone is different. Please know you are in my thoughts. Keep us posted as to what they recommend for you to do.

Beth - December 6

Michelle, that's so scary, I hope everything works out for you, I'm sure everything is fine, when are you due? If worse case scenario happens and they have to take the baby out we're far enough along that the baby will be fine out of the womb, I hope that makes you feel a little bit better. Let us know how everything goes. I can't believe you have to pee into a jar for the next 24 hours, that's alot of pee to collect, I'd prolly forget if that was me, although carrying around a jar of urine does sound like a pleasant 24 hours.....oh I bet everything is fine thouhg, try not to worry about it too much (I know, almost impossible). dwc, that's so funny, no more baths with your daughter! I've given up on any sort of grooming since last time I thought that I did a pretty good job, and then a few days later happened to notice that I looked like I let my bf try to put his initials down there.......so now I give up, I'm too scared to do the blind shave, and I now have resorted to sitting down to shave my legs, when I would try and do it standing up all the blood would rush to my head, and I think I'll fall over one day because I have no balance, so I just sit down, I've warned my friends that they'll be recruited to shaving my legs for me when it gets to that point :)

Beth B - December 6

Hello All...Michelle-I am sorry to say that I don't have any advice for you but I will keep you in my thoughts. Maybe start a seperate forum on the issue. DWC-Very funny! I am so scared of my privates right now! Speaking of..when do they start internal exams does anyone know? My next appt is friday..can't wait for the scale HAHA! Its so funny how we all go through the same things at the same time. I can't sleep either and my dh is a big part of that problem. He and my wiener dog are huge bed hogs. I often wake up in the middle of the night with an elbow in my back and a wiener (dog) on my feet. Last night baby had hiccups right when we went to bed so dh put is arm around me with his hand on my belly and proceeded to fall asleep. I was like uh no way I can't sleep like this! So I feel for ya Kendra.

lmrod55 - December 6

dwc - that is just too precious...kids just say the darnest things don't they! And Beth B - that is a good question about when the internal exams start...not looking forward to it! Michelle - I have no advice just wanted to say that I will send positive thoughts and prayers that you don't have pre-clampsia! Do take care of yourself! Like all of you I hope that Crystal and baby are ok and she just hasn't had the time to get to dh computer to update us!

lmrod55 - December 6

I just thought of something..we all need to exchange email addresses. I would love to keep in touch with you ladies after the babies are born and share some pictures and stuff! Any takers? -ld

Kendra - December 6

I think the internal exams start at 36 weeks. I am really dreading them, because my doctor is a weirdo. As for grooming, before I got pregnant, I would always wax. I haven't in awhile, because I feel so big, I've been too embarra__sed to go. I know they see all sorts of characters, but I'm wondering how many pregnant people they get. I guess I'll make an appointment because I really do not want to start internal exams with a fro. Oh and Beth, I know what you mean about the lotion - I've been getting Palmer's, and I get the special "maternity marks" kind - good grief it's expensive! I buy it anyways, because I'm a total sucker....and surely it's better for me (yeah right).

Kendra - December 6

- yes, I think the e-mail swap would be great.

lmrod55 - December 6

FYI on the waxing...I have been told that you are very sensitive down there and waxing during pregnancy is not recommended. I buy the Palmer's lotion as well...I feel like a sucker as well, b/c according to ladies I have spoken with it doesn't matter if you use that stuff or not - stretch marks are gonna happen and when you least expect it! I think my SIL got them in the last month!! I have not seen any yet, but I have 2 months to go!! I am heading home for the evening - talk to you ladies tomorrow! - Lena

pam - December 6

Regarding the waxing....I was at the doctor yesterday getting steroid shots (long story...I'm at risk for preterm because of a kidney stone we can't get out..I was in the hospital for 11 days, had the stent in and takenout because it caused contractions). Anyway,I asked about waxing and he said it was fine. I even asked about brazilian waxing out of curiosity, fearful the pain would send me into labor. He said it would hurt "like hell" and that it should be a certified individual. Just fyi!

Happt Hump day everyone! It is FREEZING here. The best thing about cold weather in Abilene, Texas is that since we don't get bad weather too often, when we do, the whole city shuts down. I mean they cancel every single thing. People don't go to school, work, church - anything! The whole city gets a free day. We have a chance of snow (yeah, it's not even snowing yet, just a chance) and already they have the news ticker going on the tv showing everything that's canceled. It's ridiculous to read it, because it goes thru every blasted thing - when they should just send across *Abilene is Canceled Today*. It's kinda cute though, because they also tell you between every cancelation that if you must go out, wear a hat and gloves, and a thick coat. Thanks mom!! So anyways, I'm in for the day. Although I really want Quiznos.....oh how I adore Quiznos. It's not far from my house and I'm wondering if it's worth getting out for. (or if they're even open, lol)

lmrod55 - December 7

Good morning ladies! Not much going on here...work is boring and I am feeling good. Actually, this morning I don't really feel pregnant - which I know is an odd statement, but go figure! We got our Christmas tree last night and plan on decorating it on Friday! Hope everyone has a good day.
